Buckling Down!

Two weeks left until I leave for the Arnold Sports Festival!  I will be competing in the Masters Figure Division!!;)  Getting excited….ALSO, my great friend and fellow EFX athlete LAURA BAILEY will be competing too! She will compete in the OPEN FIGURE!   She and I along with all the other athletes will be working the booth at the EXPO so come by and say hi!  We will be handing out some FREE product samples and a lot more! Just wishing all of you a Happy Valentines Day!

KEEP IT SIMPLE!

We all do it!  We all go through our day letting one thing after another pile up and completely overwhelm our minds.  At this point you can’t think straight, your stressed out, you don’t know what to do first, you don’t have time to eat and you certainly don’t have time to exercise!!!

A couple tips that might help:

~As your day unfolds focus on one thing at a time not 20!

~Stop putting all your energy into someone elses day!(this will leave you with tons of time on your hands:)

~Schedule time for FACEBOOK

~Do what you say your going to do!

ALL IN ALL…  KEEP IT SIMPLE!   Unless there is a tragedy there really is no need to stress out!  Priority Lists are good to help organize your day so you make sure you get everything done!  Hey and at that point you may find the time to eat and exercise; the two most important for you to stay healthy, fit and have a clear mind.

Ziploc Omelets! How easy!! AND No Pan to Scrub later!:)

I just learned about ZIPLOC OMELETS from my good friend and fellow EFX athlete Laura Bailey!  So, I decided to try them this morning! OMG! How easy and they were perfect!

Ok, here is how you make them…Get a ziploc baggie, add in whatever ingredients that you like in an omelet along with your eggs/eggwhites, let most of the air out of the bag before closing all the way,  start boiling some water in a pot on the stove, put your ziploc in until done.  EEEAASSYY! You will be able to tell the eggs are done when they start to get thicker and are holding together better.   I cooked 1 whole egg with 4 eggwhites and it took about 8 minutes to cook!   When I was done, I had the perfect omelet and there was NO CLEAN up!  I love them!

BTW~ The ziploc does not melt!!! LOL!!  I thought the same thing!

Make it BEGIN in 2010!

Hello everyone!!!  Well, I am finally moved in to our house in TEXAS!  Wow what a crazy ride!!!  My family and I had to make some drastic changes due to my husbands job.  So, we decided to move from California back to TEXAS. We packed our things in a huge moving truck, had a huge MOVING sale, packed and cleaned the house and drove 1500 miles, unpacked the truck and returned it all in 6 days!!!  How crazy is that!  It had to be done though and it shows just how much you can do once you set your mind to it!  As the saying goes…YOU CAN DO ANYTHING YOU SET YOUR MIND TO or YOU CAN, IF YOU THINK YOU CAN!!!   Keep this in mind when you are setting goals for this NEW YEAR and Make it BEGIN in 2010!!!! I wish you all much success!

Supplements I Take ~ The Eating Plan I Follow ~ The Training I Do

Hello, hello everyone!

I get a ton of questions about what I do to stay in shape. So, I decided to make a list!

First, it is not just one thing a person must do to stay in shape… It  is a combination of things.  It is the combination of a great BALANCED nutrition plan first and foremost, along with QUALITY supplements and training program that will get you into the best shape of your life!  I would suggest to those that are just starting out to try and master one of these things at a time, such as getting the eating under control FIRST !  Then, once you have accomplished that, add some sort of cardio or weight training along with taking some QUALITY supplements.  All American EFX supplments are the very best supplements I have ever taken! HONESTLY!  There is a whole other story about that which is kind of funny…you can catch that story on my VIDEO…Anyway back to my list… Ok, here are the supplements I take:

All supplements  are All American EFX supplements.….

V&M’s (Vitamin and Mineral supplement…and this one has them ALL BEAT!)

Kre-a-fem (one to two 1 hour before my training and one directly after for recovery)

Nytric (one 30mins after I take Kre-a-fem)

Choc. Liquid Aminos ( 2 to 3 times a day) my favorite!! taste yummy!!

NF PRO protein powder (2 to 3 times a day)

Cell Rush (After training)

Here is the eating plan I follow

My eating Plan I follow is The Cave Man Plan!  My brother (former competitive bodybuilder) and I created this BALANCED eating plan after trying so many other diets out there that didn’t work or help with maintaining muscle.  A lot of diets out there are very calorie restricted! The body needs calories, protein and CARBS!!!  Yes, I said it CARBS; you can’t be afraid of them!!!  Giving your body a balance of nutrition in smaller portions will create a FAT BURNING MACHINE!!!

AND LAST….My training!

I train two days a week lifting Medium to heavy Weights and in between sets I do Plyometrics (this combination gives me awesome results). I also do  1 hour Kickboxing classes 2 days of the week(using the resistance of a punching bag…2min kicks and punching rounds combined with some plyometric and light weights)…And the last two days I will usually do some sort of cardio (I love running)! So all in all I train 6 days a week!  Most people don’t need but about 4 but I enjoy what I do!!!

EXAMPLE: (I change my training schedule up a lot so that my body doesn’t get used to one set way!)

Monday~ Upper body weight training mixed with lower body plyos

Tuesday~ Run 3 to 4 miles

Wednesday~ Kickboxing

Thursday~ Lower body weight training mixed with upper body plyos

Friday~ Run 3 to 4 miles

Saturday~ Kickboxing

Sunday~ OFF

There you go!!!  The key to success!  The body can not resist from shedding fat and keeping you LEAN once you combine those three things  NUTRITION,  TRAINING AND SUPPLEMENTS!   Take the CHALLENGE!

TAKE CARE EVERYONE, STAY FOCUSED and NEVER GIVE UP ON REACHING YOUR GOALS! YOU can DO IT!!
