My Diet
I always start my day with LBA PRO and some fruit. Oh, but, of course, it’s not my breakfast. Actually, after 10 minutes or so, I have my regular breakfast. My typical breakfast includes brown (or white) rice or oatmeal, chicken breast, and some vegetables. You see, always “chicken, chicken, chicken!” The chicken day starts, lol.
It’s very healthy, right?
Anyways, I am kind of picky about what I eat, especially during the weekdays. However, when it comes to the weekends, I eat whatever I want. I like IN-N-OUT hamburger! You know what, I always order 4 x 4 with some French fries, occasionally vanilla shake, too. Yeah, too much calories, isn’t it? I feel like I am charging myself like my cell phone. In fact, I feel very energetic when the weekdays start, when I get back to the chicken days, lol.

Make It or Break It!
Happy New Year, everyone!
How’s your training going? As for mine, it was kind of slow for the past couple of months, but now that the year 2010 started, I will start training harder and harder. As far as shows I will compete in this year are concerned, as usual, they’re still up in the air. In fact, I basically don’t make a contest plan for a year. However, once I set a goal, I will do my utmost to get the best result, 1st place, for my supporters: fans, family, and, of course, my sponsor All American EFX. You know, I don’t need second, much less third, 1st or nothing, make it or break it, which is absolutely my motivation.

I crave for …
I, as an athlete, watch what I eat, basically having breast chicken even though I also have some other food, such as turkey, salmon, lean beef, and so on. Anyhow, I eat a lot of chicken. Chicken, chicken, chicken! Therefore, as you see, I’m sometimes fed up with even seeing chicken anymore. Thinking about food, I feel like going back to my country, Japan, where I grew up. I wonder what my diet would be like if I were in Japan. I would probably eat fresh “sashimi” almost every day instead of chicken.
Oh, I crave for “Sashimi, sashimi, sashimi!” life. LOL.

To go on to the next level …
Some guys are genetically gifted. They have almost no weak point, and their muscles grow very fast. If you are such a person, you are very lucky, but most of people are not, and I am not, either. Therefore, since I started working out, I’ve been spending much of my time developing my potential. I am very picky about the forms and the movement of all exercises. As well as doing hard training, I stretch & massage my muscles a lot every day to develop my nervous system. As a result, I have been able to have some achievements, as an all-natural athlete, yet I can’t stop making efforts because I have never been 100% satisfied yet.
You see, I’ve got to go on to the next level!

Reps …
One of the questions people often ask me at the gym is how many reps I do for each set. As the answer to the question, I say, “I don’t know.” Don’t get me wrong. That’s not because I don’t want to tell anyone about my training or want to keep it secret, but I tell them the truth. Actually, unlike others, I basically don’t count reps because I don’t care about how many reps I do. For me, the most important thing is how I feel while exercising. After each set, I always ask myself if I need more weights for the next set, in order to stimulate or shock the muscles I am training. In other words, I would go heavier weights as long as I can control the weights with the muscles regardless of reps. I never choose the weights I use because of the reps I am able to lift or pull.

My Childhood Hero …
Who was your childhood hero?
In my pre-teen & early teenage years, I was crazy about “kung fu” movies, and my hero was Bruce Lee. I was struck by his kung fu actions, which was incredible, awesome, phenomenal, and COOL!
Watching the short guy beat many big brawny or tall guys, I felt that I wanted to be like him. His physique was very impressive to me for the beautiful v-shaped lean body as well. Therefore, I started to train myself, believing that someday I could be like him.
It took me so many years, but now I am competing against big guys here in the United States, as an all-natural (lifetime drug-free) athlete. Unlike my hero, I’m not an unbeatable guy, yet I will continue to make every effort to be like him.

My Condition …
Do you watch what you eat or eat whatever you want? My diet is very clean. Even though I’m in the off-season now, this year, I’m in pretty good condition. I actually weigh about 170 lbs now, which means, since I basically weigh 165 lbs on stage, I’m just 5 lbs heavier than my contest weight. You know, the more ripped I am, the more motivated I am while working out. With this weight, I also feel comfortable because I can move quickly and run without getting out of breath.
You see, I’m always ready for a photo shoot!

Amino Special Drink …
These days, I take 2 oz of Pure Liquid Amino (Strawberry Flavor) mixed with 1 liter bottle of water, which I learned from one of the EFX athletes, Jonathan Hanley. Thanks, Jon!
For me, I drink it little by little between sets while working out. I think it is really good! It works! You know, we have risk of losing muscles during our hard training, but with this way, you could prevent it. If you train hard and don’t want to lose muscles, I strongly recommend it!

Protein Powder …
I know almost all of you guys use a shaker when you take protein powder. However, I basically don’t use it. In fact, since I have not used it for a long time, I don’t know where my shaker is. Nevertheless, I, of course, do take EFX protein powder 3-4 times a day. You know, I put 1 scoop of NF-Pro (Vanilla) directly into my mouth and then get some water. Now, I’m ready to have my original ice cream. I mix them inside my mouth and “EAT” it. Yes, for me, I “eat” protein powder. Even when I take any other EFX powder stuff like Kre-Celerator and Kre-Generator, I do the same way because this is the easiest way to take these stuff.
Want to try it? Be careful! You might choke on it.

I was 100% ready, but …
This morning (around 5 a.m.), as usual, having taken some EFX supplements, I was ready to go to the gym. I was 100% ready to hit my traps & arms. However, when I arrived at the gym, I saw a fire engine parked in front of the gym, the fire alarm going off. Some guys were outside the gym, wearing training wear. Meanwhile, some fire fighters and security guys were inside the gym. We were not allowed to enter the gym. I asked a man what had happened. He said, “I don’t know …, there is no smoke anywhere, but the fire alarm suddenly went off after my first set.”
Anyhow, since I didn’t think it would take long, I decided to wait for a while, but after I waited for about 30 min., I gave up and left for another gym because it seemed to take long.
Even though my motivation level had gone down a little, I managed to finish my workout with great pumps today.
